Frank J. Szabo, Jr., LADC

I have more than twenty years experience as a clinician, supervisor, and executive director within the addiction treatment and recovery field. I worked at Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) as Clinical Director for eight years overseeing all clinical and medical practices to ensure that clients received the best treatment available. While at LVRC, I helped create the Chronic Pain Recovery program (an inpatient program designed to help clients live with chronic pain without the use of opioids) and the Family Renewal Program (an intensive four-day workshop for family member of those with addiction). I am the coauthor of Pain Recovery: How to Find Balance and Reduce Suffering from Chronic Pain and Pain Recovery for Families: How to Find Balance When Someone Else’s Chronic Pain Becomes Your Problem Too (both published by Central Recovery Press). Prior to my employment at LVRC, I worked for several state-funded agencies as a director of a hundred client outpatient program and in various counseling and managerial positions. I also serve as a board member for Foundation for Recovery, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Foundation’s mission is to make recovery from addiction more available to the addict who still suffers and is inspired by the principles exhibited in the lives of addicts who have found and continue to live in recovery.

I have lived in Las Vegas for over 30 years and regretted the lack of options for those seeking help with addiction and codependency. I opened One Life Second Chance to connect on an inpidual basis with those seeking solutions to their life problems, whether caused by the disease of addiction or the challenges often found while living in recovery.
